In the absence of any kind of medical coverage, the municipality of Zouk Mikael provides its citizens with the services of a university dispensary with a wide range of specializations, home services for bedridden people, awareness campaigns for students, vaccines as well as ambulance services.
During the civil war, and in collaboration with world organizations, the municipal council worked hard in order to meet the medicinal needs of its citizens, to subsequently sign a partnership protocol with the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, an agreement from which the municipal dispensary became a university clinic.
In 2016, the municipal council inaugurated several consultation clinics such as:
- pediatric clinic,
- ophthalmology clinic,
- otorhinolaryngology clinic,
- gynecology clinic,
- dental clinic,
- a polyvalent consultation clinic.
The dispensary now provides care for several specialist doctors: cardiologists, surgeons, orthopedists, gastrologists, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, pediatricians, and dentists. In addition, a wide range of semi-free services is offered to citizens, such as blood tests, analyzes, urine tests, vaccines, ultrasounds for gynecological, urinary and digestive use.
