Born in Zouk Mikael in 1908, majoring in Law at USJ and graduated as a lawyer in Joseph Al Sawda’s law firm. His friendship with the poet Elias Abou Chabake paved his political way, since Boueiz was one of the founders of the Lebanese National Bloc. Boueiz and Abou Abou Chabake established a theatrical movement in the Zouk’s market.
He had beed elected deputy in 1957, and re-elected in the sessions of 1960,1961 and 1968 . Nohad Boueiz’s parliamentary and political life was characterized by constant opposition, and he played a prominent role in the parliament. He was elected secretary of the council in 1958 and 1959. Moreover, he was a member of many parliamentary committees, such as the committee of Administration and Justice, and the committee of Foreign affairs as well as a member of Permanent International Parliamentary. “Boueiz” believed in democracy, and moved away from violence, and was on good terms with the Maronite patriarchate. He was a prominent advocate at the Lebanese, French and Arab penal courts and held French, American, Chinese, and Arab orders of merit including: “Grand officer of the honor’s legion”
